The use of language here is amazing. This piece is inspirational to me on so many levels. I would love to hear it read a loud someday. And I do not get the riddle as I am terrible with riddles but I would love it if someone could repost an answer.

This is Stana Katic with a strap on. Fine, different kind of strap on. But, you know, still.
feeling old in this young city
I’m out on an adventure in life.
New apartment, new city, new language, new job, new transit, new people.
I’ve wanted to write something on blog for a lil record in the future to look back for a while now. but 10 hrs out for work per week day takes most of time.
Went to a bar three blocks away from my place last night. it’s a place for live music mostly, a guy from a band actually wrote me a msg on facebook asking me to check out their show last Saturday but unfortunately i missed it. still wanna go to that bar tho so i went there when i got out of C-train from work last night. oh yes by myself of course.
I’ve been doing like everything all by myself ever since I got here.
the waitress at the bar moved me. not only because of her stunning look and big eyes but the way she speaks to me and not asking for my ID when I ordered a beer. oh that Wild Rose Albertan Brewed brown ale is the best beer I’ve tasted in Calgary so far. She poured me two beers before I got to choose one to drink.
I still find it tiny bit intimidating when i have to socialize with people.
I go clubbing every week. I only spend 10 minutes on the dance floor and another 30 minutes sitting there looking at dancing girls. and i have a smoke and walk home.
It feels close to everywhere fun living at the centre of downtown.
I want a dog for company to take long walks down the riverside so that I don’t have to deal with humans.
I love people but I don’t like being with them all the time.
I think I’m ready to go back to the dating scene. but oh how i wish to jump the first few months of knowing each other right into feeling safe when being with someone. the special one is always hard to find. I’m twenty five now and i’ve never been in love. oops.
I will write more for future me when I don’t feel this exhausting after work.

I found out that I have hot neighbor living upstairsand we hit the same super markets to get groceries. Wanna see her everyday.
